Klamath Land Back Tours collaborated with artist Natalie Ball to create limited-edition Klamath Land Back Tees & Hoodie with embroidered patches. The apparel has screen-printed protest signs and other signage that clutter and whitewash Klamath Territory. These signs point and direct uninvited tourists to the Klamath, Modoc, and Paiute Peoples’ sacred sites that have been turned into state, federal and private lands. KLAMATH LAND BACK cancels out these signs and redirects you as a Detour. The text is from a local protest sign used to raise awareness for their traditional food, the C’waam, Yen, and Koptu - an endemic fish that are now fighting extinction. Our Ancient Relatives are fighting to survive in the Klamath Lake that’s being killed from continued environmental racism and unsustainable and negligent cattle ranching and water theft.
